Balanan Lake is a native lake. This is 10 kilometers away from the national highway. Wherein, you can enjoy kayaking! The nature lovers will enjoy the trek around the lake, it takes about 2 hours for the complete lap (4 kms) and you will reach pristine waterfalls in the end. The trek is a pathway on one side and a cemented way on the other side (it is sometimes slippery so watch out your steps).

Malatapay Market is a native market taking place every Wednesday. It is best known by tourists for its huge and lively market, where morning villagers, fishermenand other tribes’ people can be found loudly bartering their goods. And also much kind of livestock’s is found (buy and sell). This place also known as the departure point for Apo Island, is very close from Thalatta Beach Resort (200 meters only).
